If you really want to get a good job in a country with high unemployment and if you really want to live in your country without having to travel somewhere else to find a job, then the pyramid theory is what you should follow.

The pyramid theory is very simple. As you can see in the picture below, you just have to divide all people competing with you to different categories and then put each category in a level in the pyramid. For example, suppose you want to work as an accountant; you should then divide competitors (other job seekers) to the following categories:

1-People who know no more than what they have learned in college.
2-People who additionally know how to use spreadsheets (eg: Excel).
3-People who have all above plus an MBA.
4-People who have all of the above plus a CPA certificate.
5-People who have all of the above plus a CFA certificate.

Of course this is just an example; your pyramid could be very different even if you were an accountant. The main point is that the higher you place yourself in your pyramid the easier you will be able to find a job, and of course if you get to the top of the pyramid, you will find a job even if unemployment was 90 percent.

As you can see, as you go up the tiers in a pyramid, you find fewer and fewer people with high qualifications. These people have the best chances and opportunities when it comes to finding a job.

How to Guess the Correct Number of People in Each Level

When it comes to filling in the tiers of your pyramid with actual numbers, you don’t really have to get accurate numbers at all. Just use rough estimates and add a factor of safety by multiplying this number by two or even three. For example, if you think that you are competing with 100,000 other people, make them 200,000 so that you are prepared to face the worst conditions.

An entrepreneur is someone who starts his own business because he believes in a certain idea. Being an entrepreneur means that you wont be looking for a job like other people do nor you will be waiting for someone to employ you as you will be your own business.
