So you think that you are looking bad? too ugly or not attractive? Do you know that many people think that they are ugly only because they have a poor self image and not because they really look bad?
Many people have images for themselves inside their minds that are much different than reality. This is called a self image problem!
How poor self image affects your life
This incorrect image of your looks is loaded into your mind as soon as you meet any person.
At this point you might start to think of your looks in the terms of the image that you have in your mind and so think that the other person won't like you because you are bad looking while in reality your looks may be much different than this incorrect image!!
How was this poor self image built
So where did that incorrect image came from?
In such a case you may associate this belief with you looks and so think you look like a fool. You may be one hundred percent convinced that you look like a fool to an extent that your self image is modified to reflect this belief. (see also Self image problems causes)
Poor self image and depression
In my book, The ultimate guide to getting over depression i explained how ignoring your problems and allowing them to accumulate can be the primary source for depression.
Some people face problems as soon as they encounter them while others bury them deeply in their subconscious minds or throw them behind their backs. When they do so their subconscious minds usually responds back with depression.
When someone who has a poor self image starts to ignore this problem and acts as if its not there he usually ends up with a severe depression. Never take the risk of waiting and do your best to solve this problem right now.
how to know if i have a blurred image of myself?
In order to know if your beliefs about your looks are true or whether they are the result of your poor self image then ask yourself that question:
Did you experience any moment where you thought that you are good looking?
If you have found that one day you felt that you are good looking or that at least you have above average looks then most probably your beliefs about your looks are the result of your poor mental self image and not because of looking bad in real life.
so after all you be may be looking fine but its just a poor mental self image that you have in your mind that makes you think that you are looking bad. (see also Limiting beliefs)
