When you get a better understanding of your emotions and thoughts you will become better able to understand your deep emotional needs. And once you understand your emotional needs the next step you should take, in order to be truly happy, will become crystal clear.
Meditation is thus a great method that can help you know what the next step is but it's never the final step needed to end emotional pain.
