Lots of people underestimate the effects of television on their mind, brain and even belief system because they know little about belief formation and how the mind works.

A belief is formed as a result of repeating a certain statement over and over provided that no opposing beliefs are present. I am not referring to affirmations where opposing beliefs are present but instead i am referring to constant repetition of an idea that is not resisted by the mind.

• People who watch TV a lot believe the world is unsafe: adults and children who are TV addicts start to believe that the world is unsafe thus start feeling insecure, unsafe and less brave
• TV Alters the belief system: I deal with clients who want to recover from breakups and usually one of the main reasons people don't recover quickly are the false beliefs they acquired from TV and media. When they keep watching people suffering because of not being able to be with their soul mates they conclude that they should either be in a relationship or suffer too
• TV promotes violent behavior: If a child watched violence scenes (which are unavoidable if he stays in front of the TV for long periods of time) the child will develop more aggressive behavior towards his peers
• Affects his self esteem: People who watch TV start comparing themselves to celebrities, stars and the ones they see in the movies.
