Does luck has anything to do with success?
Do some people achieve success quicker because they are lucky?
And why do some people work hard but never succeed? is it because of bad luck?

before i can tell you whether luck has anything to do with success or not let me first agree with you on a definition for luck. Lucky people are the ones who bump into the right opportunities and take advantage of them.

For example, a successful businessman may have became successful because he met a certain person in his life who told him about this business idea. That business man was lucky to meet that person right? after all if he had never met him he might have never been successful.

From the previous example it appears that luck has a lot to do with success but in fact, the business man didn't meet that guy because he was lucky but he met him because he was already searching for him since a long time. Sounds confusing? In this article i will tell you whether luck has anything to do with success or not.

The relationship between luck and success

I was lucky to start 2knowmyself because it made me a dot com millionaire. see my book (how i did it). After all if i have never started 2knowmyself i wouldn't have become a millionaire, right? So does this mean that luck has anything to do with success?

Do you know that 2knowmyself is the 7th website i started? I created 6 websites that never managed to be successful!! I wasn't lucky because i started a successful website but i was lucky because i kept trying until one of my websites became successful.

So luck doesn't have anything to do with success because if you kept trying and trying you will eventually become lucky.

That business man i was talking about earlier became lucky because he kept asking every person he meets about potential business opportunists and as soon as he found the right person people thought that he was lucky to find him!!

We usually see the final success of a person then claim that he was lucky but if we were to meet that person before he became successful we would have discovered that his persistence created his own luck.

Luck has nothing to do with success

Why do some people never get the chance to succeed even though they bump into some good opportunities? Again does this mean that luck has anything to do with success?

In order to succeed you don't just have to be lucky to bump into opportunities but you have to be also prepared to take advantage of them.

Had i knew nothing about computers, HTML, web design and e-commerce i wouldn't have been able to take advantage of the opportunity and to create my site. So the second element of luck is being prepared to take advantage of the opportunity when it comes.

If you want to be lucky you just have to keep trying until you bump into the right chance while being prepared to take advantage of this chance when it appears.

So does luck has anything to do with success?
In fact that will depend on your understanding of luck. If you understood these concepts well you will realize that the problem isn't in the question but its in the understanding of luck itself.
