Why the subconscious mind sends us negative emotions

I got a question from one of the readers who was wondering why the subconscious mind sends us bad emotions sometimes. My answer was:

"The subconscious mind uses negative and positive emotions to help us reach our important goals. If the subconscious mind found us moving away from our important psychological goals then it will use negative emotions to bring us back on track. If on the other hand it found us going in the right direction then it might make us feel motivated or even happy."

The reader then wondered why do we sometimes feel anxious even when we are following the right path. My answer was:

"We feel anxious when our subconscious mind has doubts about our plans or when it can hardly trust us"

Why do some people feel motivated while working on their goals while some others feel anxious or worried?

In order to answer that question you need to understand something important about the subconscious mind. You can consider the subconscious mind a separate person who knows everything about you. If that person trusted you because of the good actions you took then it will bless your future actions.

If however that person lost faith in you then any new promises might not be met with approval. Let me give you an example to make this clearer.

Lets suppose that each time you wrote a studying time table you never committed to it. Now if in the next year you made another time table then most probably it won't motivate you to study and you will still feel anxious about the exams.

This simply happens because the trust was already broken between you and your subconscious mind. Now if the opposite happened (You studied well every time you made a time table) then most probably the act of writing the table will make you feel motivated.

This is why some people get motivated when they write their goals and this is also the same reason some others never feel anything when they do the same thing. When your subconscious mind starts trusting you then you won't have problems getting motivated when you write plans or set new goals.
