Why you shouldn't pay any attention to rejections

Why you shouldn't pay any attention to rejections

"There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home."
Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp., 1977

"Drill for oil? You mean drill into the ground to try and find oil? You're crazy."
Drillers who Edwin L. Drake tried to enlist to his project to drill for oil in 1859.

"Man will never reach the moon regardless of all future scientific advances."
Dr. Lee De Forest, inventor of the vacuum tube and father of television.

Interesting statements right?
do you know that they were unquestionable facts that were believed to be true by everyone years ago?

These facts remained intact until certain people appeared and decided to challenge them. The man who brought the computer to your home, the first person to drill for oil and the people who first went to the moon are examples of people who challenged such facts and proved that they were false beliefs.

What kind of facts are holding you back?

At the time of writing this article there might be tens of facts that are holding you back and preventing you from believing that you can make your dreams true. (see How to realize your dreams)

Those beliefs can only be considered facts as long as you don't dare to challenge them. Imagine that Steve jobs believed that a personal computer was a stupid idea? How would our lives have been like? (see Inspirational stories of successful people)

Imagine that the wright brothers gave up on inventing a flying machine, what would have our lives been like?

And imagine that you gave up on your dreams right now because of being afraid to challenge similar facts, how will your life be like 30 years from now?

Why rejections should be ignored all the time

The people who said these statements mentioned in the beginning of the article were considered experts. No one can deny that they are brilliant people who served humanity to a great extent but this doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes!

All humans make mistakes even the brilliant ones and the experts! In fact, experts sometimes make bigger mistakes because they stick to what they already know without exploring other creative alternatives. (see Why experts are wrong)

The owner of the first publishing house i visited believed that a 24 years old guy (my age at that time) can never become a successful writer. Few years later i made few millions selling my books online! (see the Ultimate guide to becoming rich)

Experts can reject your ideas for many reasons and this doesn't mean that they are right!

In my last article How to prove that you are right i said that both HP and Atari rejected Steve jobs ideas only to find him implementing them successfully under Apple's name.

In short, humans are humans even if they were experts.
They do make mistakes!
Don't make someone's mistake the reason you live a miserable life!

I have managed to become a self made millionaire at the age of 28. This didn't happen by chance because i already wrote that goal down five years before i accomplished it. Becoming rich is not about luck, starting big or being intelligent but its all about having certain beliefs about money and life.

In The Ultimate guide to becoming rich i will teach you everything that you need to know in order to become rich.
