What did they do?

In the past few years i read hundreds of stories about successful people who managed to become extremely rich. Many of those people managed to become self made billionaires after passing through many struggles. As i kept reading those stories i discovered that there were so many things in common between all of those people.

While there are some traits that lead to success that everyone agrees on such as persistence or passion i managed to find some other things that those people did that made them that successful.

In this article i am not going to talk about the common traits because i talked about them a lot here but i am rather going to focus on the less common ones that few people talk about.

Success lessons from self made billionaires

Here are the uncommon things many of the self made billionaires did:

1) They didn't mind to move anywhere: Success can only happen when the right opportunity shows up. Many of those people didn't wait for the opportunity to show up and instead moved more than once chasing it. (see also The theory of luck)
2) They were very flexible: Many of those people started businesses to create certain products then ended up selling something totally different. Those people were flexible enough to change their goals and mission
3) They took crazy risks: While not all of those people took serious risks still some of them risked everything they had to rescue their business and prevent them from going bankrupt.
4) They talked to big guys early: Many of the entrepreneurs who became extremely successful approached very large companies very early to create partnerships. Luckily some of those partnerships worked
5) Almost all wanted to be entrepreneurs no matter what they do Most of those successful people quit their jobs to start businesses. Some of them didn't even know what kind of businesses they were going to start.
6) They were workaholics: Many of those successful entrepreneurs never took vacations for long periods of time, worked all day long and hardly managed to relax.
7) They had faith in their product(s): Most of those people had faith in their products even when others tried to put them down (see How to believe that everything is possible)

Its more of a way of thinking

If you examined the previous points well you would discover that most of them are about a way of thinking or a certain kind of mentality.

No one is born with certain beliefs but people acquire their beliefs as they go through the different life experiences. In other words, if you want to be as successful as those people then focusing on developing the right set of beliefs is the first step that you need to take.

I have managed to become a self made millionaire at the age of 28. This didn't happen by chance because i already wrote that goal down five years before i accomplished it. Becoming rich is not about luck, starting big or being intelligent but its all about having certain beliefs about money and life.
